Designer Profile :

Method Modular Homes

Method Modular Homes was founded in 2008 by Mark Rylant and Brian Abramson. To date Method Homes are best known for their first prefab model, The Method Cabin which targeted LEED-H Gold certification.

The Method Cabin offers an eye catching cantilevered roof and efficient, practical floor plans along with some green building elements such as  Kliptech Ecotop countertops, Bamboo cabinets and flooring.

The estimated costs of the Method Cabin are around $150 – $250 per sq foot.

Mark Rylant and Brian Abramson founded Method Homes out of their collective experience in construction, real estate and development; passion for architecture and good design; and desire to add innovation to the home building industry. One day on the job site Mark looked around at all the inefficiencies of site built construction and thought to himself “there must be a better way.” Out of that thought Method Homes was born.

Mark Rylant Co-Founder – Method Modular Homes

Mark Rylant has been working in the construction industry for more than 12 years. Before starting his own residential contracting business in 2002, he worked for numerous other employers in many facets of the construction industry. His work has ranged from new construction, speculative projects, commercial developments, remodels, and historical renovations. In the winter he enjoys a nice powder day on Mt. Baker and in the summer a nice round of golf in the sun, although those days are limited between work and helping his wife raise their two beautiful children.

Brian Abramson Co-Founder - Method Modular Homes

Brian Abramson brings experience in real estate, development, green building and entrepreneurial ventures to Method Homes. After attending the University of Montana he successfully founded and ran MMS Productions, a music production company. After moving to Seattle he began a career in commercial real estate and development, which in turn sparked his passion for architecture, all things prefab, and good design which lead to Method Homes. He enjoys snowboarding, travel, the music of John Coltrane, and good meal with a nice glass of aged Barolo.

Method Homes is now offering three series of prefab green homes:
the Cabin Series and S-M-L Series, both by Balance Associates, and the Urban Series by Skylab Architecture, which is coming soon.

The Cabin Series currently offers many floor plans ranging from 1200-2800 square feet. The Method Cabin can be configured numerous ways and is completely modifiable and customizable.

S-M-L Series Small Medium and Large self contained homes with smaller footprints. Prefab in-law or guest cottage, artist studios & ADU’s that can function as additions or permanent residences.

The Urban Series. Method Homes is revisiting its urban series to be focused on affordable urban infill dwellings and we hope to have more information soon.
